This purchase includes both headjoints (original silver Haynes & wood Howell Roberts) two cases, tuning rod, and a case cover. It fits the Haynes perfectly and has a lush and romantic quality. I played every alto flute headjoint they had and this one was by far the best. I bought this headjoint for this flute several years ago at the Flute Center in NYC. I am also including a handmade cocobolo headjoint made by master craftsman Howell Roberts. It has the original headjoint, foot, and case. This is the highest quality alto flute you can find in excellent original condition. They have made very few alto flutes over the years. Haynes recently informed me that they no longer make new handmade alto flutes because they are extremely expensive to manufacture. No other alto flute currently being made comes close to the sound of this beautiful instrument. Tony Salimbene who is the repairman for many broadway, jazz, and classical musicians performed the overhaul. It was just overhauled with all new pads, felts, and corks. The entire flute is solid silver and was made in 1947. Hello, this is an extremely rare handmade Haynes Alto Flute.
